new york timesGunning for Gillibrand; Protected Species Act for the ObamasSunday, January 25, 2009 at 3:43 pm — admin
This week New York got a new female senator and already the New York Times is working to undermine her. (FemiSex had backed Carolyn Maloney for Hillary’s spot, and we are saddened this did not happen; however we are well pleased with Gov. Paterson’s pick of Kirsten E. Gillibrand.) Women get the same proportion of space on the op/ed pages as they do on the masthead at the New York Times—it is Time to see and end this connection.Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 2:24 pm — admin
FemiSex has written repeatedly about the inability of the Times op/ed page editors to include women in their “Questions For” format. Last week we posted: The New York Times Op/ed Pages –a bastion of distain, discrimination, and diminishment against women. An excerpt: Too Male to FailWednesday, January 21, 2009 at 12:04 pm — admin
Zoë Eliot Baird, Bill Clinton’s pick for attorney general was a no go after things turned ugly on her taxes and domestic help. Now we have Timothy F. Geithner, Obama’s pick for to head the Treasury Dept. who has the SAME problems as Ms. Baird, except worse, because Geithner didn’t bother to pay his own federal taxes in addition to his domestic housekeeping problems. To their credit the Times has done a good editorial on Geithner , that I strongly suggest you READ! On mortgages, women and 2nd Class status at the Times--see what the data shows!Friday, January 16, 2009 at 1:40 pm — admin
Once again, Women as an afterthought at the Times Our economy is in a mess of a hess and one of the primary reasons is the housing markets. There has been predatory lending and predatory borrowing. Everyone got greedy. There is plenty of blame to go round and round. Americans need to sort this out. We need to stop living beyond our means; we need to save money; and we need to never again allow lenders to put each of our lives up for grabs, because with predatory lending everyone gets hurt. So absolutely it is time to stop predatory lending!!!! Frank Rich and the media manipulate women—Time to SEE it and Recognize it!Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:46 am — admin
If ur dating Frank Rich and he’s talking the talk about stuff he thinks you want to hear, but only when it will get him a dick lick, NOT after he’s blown his “political capital” then ladies wizen up! YOU’ve BEEN HAD. Here’s the thing: the media counts on women to be easily manipulated. This is not a post that says this woman or that is superior. This is a post to say, lets get smart about it. Gullibility in women is no asset, despite what the media and Hollywood sell us. Disposable women, the Great Struggle of the Planet; a play not written by Harold PinterSaturday, January 10, 2009 at 2:54 pm — admin
Harold Pinter died this past week. His Obit in the Times was adequate, but somewhat funny. Pinter had a 1st wife who bore him a son. Evidently she fell off the face of the earth b/c without mentioning her demise or divorce, the Times reported that Pinter carried on with a married woman and then married her. How very convenient of his 1st wife to disappear into thin air after supporting his early career and enduring poverty with him. How telling that the Times made no mention of what happened to the 1st wife. Disposable women. To the men money and power; to the women, their share of the house, IF the market is favorableFriday, January 2, 2009 at 7:56 pm — admin
Today I popped in on the Daily Beast and was delighted to find another essay by the superlative Ms. Daphne Merkin. titled, “The Brotherhood of Money” and the enticing subhead: Men like Bernie Madoff understand wealth. They understand power. And they prefer to keep women away from both. What we Talk about when we talk about Male ViolenceMonday, December 1, 2008 at 1:12 pm — admin
After the election, the Taliban sent a letter to Mr. Obama saying he should “observe the norms of human rights.” Femisex did a LOL over that, but today we are crying. According to the AP, craven Taliban militants used squeeze bottles to spray acid on women and girls who were committing the high crime of educating themselves—the victims were on their way to school. |
