Let's make this real simple for folks wondering which way to vote in November. Here is, According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the resident population of the United States, projected to 08/12/12:
314,145,332. And here is the number of people in the U.S (illegal immigrants and citizens) on means-tested welfare (welfare being foods stamps and programs but NOT Social Security or Medicare.) 108,000,000. Yes that's right a third of the people in the United States depend on others to pay their bills.
And this from Investor's Biz Daily:
Here are just a few recent reports about the alarming growth in dependency:
• In the second quarter of 2011, 107 million Americans were receiving some kind of government welfare — not including Medicare or Social Security — according to a new study from the Senate Budget Committee. That's up from 97 million just over two years ago.
• In the last three months, more people have applied for Social Security disability payments than found jobs in the private sector, federal data show.
• New Census data show 43% of all immigrants remain on welfare 20 years after arriving in the U.S.,
In today's federal budget, 70% of all spending now goes to aid for individuals such as housing, food, income, student aid or other forms of welfare.
This last is VERY important because retrogressive liberals in media like to pretend that only a fraction of federal spending goes to welfare, which is so far from the truth to be like saying that little green men from Mars are nesting in my dog's head and making him to poop out gold nuggets that I can take to the bank to pay my taxes.
