Deaths from unsafe abortion remain a severe problem,
killing 70,000 women a year .

Ten years ago I reported on unsafe abortions overseas with a number of 70K dead a year from unsafe abortions. I reported then that the CDC listed zero as the number of dead in the U.S. from unsafe abortions. Isn’t that nice!

NEW YORK – Increased contraceptive use has led to fewer abortions worldwide, but deaths from unsafe abortion remain a severe problem, killing 70,000 women a year, a research institute reported Tuesday in a major global survey.
More than half the deaths, about 38,000, are in sub-Saharan Africa, which was singled out as the region with by far the lowest rates of contraceptive use and the highest rates of unintended pregnancies.

Oklahoma lawmakes, err, lawbreakers thunk up the idea that doctors compile dossiers on women who want abortions, forcing all women, each and every woman to tell Big Brother all about her relationship with her daddy and why she wants to have the abortion. Psst, fruitloops: It is none of your bees wax, now fire up your camcorder and drill a hole in your neighbors bathroom so you can watch their girl child go pee pee. SICK Sick SICK!

In May, Okahoma state lawmakers approved a beaut: a law requiring that abortion providers fill out a 10-page questionnaire for each procedure, and that details of abortions be posted on a public Web site.

On the Web, you kiddn’ me? REAlly? When will the far fringe on both sides of our parties understand too much government is really really bad for the health of this nation.
Big Brother no good! Government intrusion into our bodies is BAD BAD DOG just as is creating social dependencies that treat us as children for all our lives. Women must be free to choose and people must be given safety nets that don't capture them in dependency webs. It makes so much sense to live in the middle.

The Center for Reproductive Rights beat back the Oklahoma loons, but send em a check cause Tim Kaine is right there waiting in Virginia to outlaw safe and legal abortion so we can rid ourselves of that pesky Zero from the CDC! When you are done with that, call the DNC and tell em what you think of Whack Job Obama's pick of Tim anti-choice Kaine to head our party!
