So the CEO of Yahoo --Scott Thompson--lied and said he had a degree he did not in order to get a job but, Yahoo's Board of Directors , in retaliation, boots a woman off Yahoo's Board of Directors and plans to let Scott keep his job. Sounds about right for the company who very publicly fired Carol A. Bartz last year in order to give her the greatest humiliation possible. The BoyMan screws up but ladypants pays the price. Fuck YOU Yahoo!

Yahoo has acknowledged that Mr. Thompson claimed a degree in computer science that he did not have.

Yahoo sought to contain the turmoil surrounding its chief executive’s embellished academic record on Tuesday, as the director who led the search for the executive said that she would not stand for re-election to the board.

Mr. Thompson’s fate is unclear, but people briefed on the matter said that at least some directors want to keep him, lest Yahoo suffer yet another wrenching setback.

Late on Monday, Mr. Thompson e-mailed Yahoo employees, apologizing for the trouble the controversy had brought upon the company.

“We have all been working very hard to move the company forward, and this has had the opposite effect,” he wrote in the e-mail. “For that, I take full responsibility, and I want to apologize to you.”
