Obama and Hillary Own the Rise of ISIS; they refused to maintain troops in Iraq, despite advice to do just that

Obama Fails in Iraq.jpg

“…U.S. popularity in the [Middle East] has plummeted back to Bush-era levels. The promise of Obama's June 2009 Cairo speech was generally left unrealized. There has been no movement on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. The administration failed in its efforts to keep U.S. forces in Iraq past 2011. Syria is still in chaos. Iran continues to enrich uranium and to sponsor mayhem.” Michael O’Hanlon in Foreign Affairs article written Jan. 29, 2013, summing up Hillary’s stint as SOS.

O’Hanlon summary of Hillary’s SOS stint is probably best summarized with this:

“And even an admirer must acknowledge that few big problems were solved on her watch.”

This of course was written well before the fact that during her tenure, ISIS was allowed to grow and thrive. In fact, Big Problems were caused by her and Obama’s watch.
And why did that happen? Pay close attention to this (very dishonest) sentence from the above O’Hanlon paragraph:

The administration failed in its efforts to keep U.S. forces in Iraq past 2011.

only a FOOL would or should believe that “the Administration failed” in this so-called endeavor. Obama NEVER wanted to keep U.S. forces in Iraq past 2011. Period. To say he failed is joke. Had Obama wanted troops, he’d have gotten them. Period. Period. Instead ISIS now has some TWO BILLION bucks on hand because now they control significant oil fields in Iraq. Obama wanted Iraq to fail. And to get there fastest was his desire to remove all troops from Iraq by the end of 2011.

Poor Tricky Micky. How can one take his thoughts seriously if he’s fails to tell the truth. Obama made a bullshit pass at troop retention, knowing his limpwristed “effort” would crash and burn. Then he went about gloating he’d cut US troops from Iraq.

This past week on 60 Minutes former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta broke water all over Obama’s fumbles in the Middle East. He made Clear he had wanted to keep troops in Iraq, and as all hell broke loose after Obama’s withdrawal, the National Security Team urged Obama to act. Obama sat with his thumb up his arse.
Turns out the ENTIRE national security team urged Obama to act to stop dissolution of Iraq and the unraveling of Syria. Panetta made clear they wanted troops to remain in Iraq.

Quote from Panetta: “I really thought that it was important for us to maintain a presence in Iraq.”

But BOOM, Obama tied the potential troop retention agreement into knots to ensure there would be ZERO troops in Iraq after 2011. In fact, in 2011, Obama bragged about this accomplishment! Obama quote: “After taking office, I announced a new strategy that would end our combat mission in Iraq and remove all of our troops by the end of 2011.” (See Wapo item referenced below from more of Obama’s 2011 speech.” Obama pounded on Mitt in 2012 when Mitt wanted to retain ~10k troops in Iraq. Obama was all sneer and jeer, and turns out...Mitt got it right. Little surprise.

Make no fools of us Mickey O’ Hanlon. Obama did not WANT troops in Iraq past 2011. Stop playing games with the public. STOP. Enough already. We are not children and we do NOT like to be lied to or messed with. Ah, says Mickey Boy, now didn’t I lie, I tell ya. I just wrote my sentence very carefully. ObamaLIEStyle. Teheheha.
For an excellent accounting of Obama’s premeditated decision to NOT keep troops in place in Iraq here is an excellent item from WaPo.

Obama’s latest whopper: If you like the troops, you can keep them in Iraq.

It’s generally seen by commentators and many lawmakers on both sides of the aisle that failing to keep troops in Iraq contributed to the disastrous rise of the Islamic State and the near-destruction of Iraq. The president and his former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, have now come up with their version of the Obamacare canard: If you like our troops, you can keep them in Iraq.

Unbelievably, Obama now claims he didn’t make the decision to pull them all out. Only the commander in chief could pull them out, of course, and he did, just as he had promised throughout his 2008 campaign.

In that piece is a quote from a Republican Senator who speaks the truth about this issue nicely in a single sentence:
When everybody told you, you need to leave a force behind, you made it impossible for the Iraqis to say yes.

That sentence is key. Obama didn’t want to negotiate a “status of forces” retention with Iraq. Hillary didn’t push for one. And when there is no negotiation, in the end there is no agreement. That is what Obama wanted and what Hillary presided over. Total failure.

60 Minutes added that Bush had said to them --off camera in 2007-- that the Iraqi prime minister was a SOB but we had to deal with him so we deal. Funny thing. The Bush Team was able to do what Obama and Hillary couldn’t—negotiate with Iraq’s SOB prime minister.
