What we Talk about when we talk about Male Violence--Part 2

A while back FemiSex wrote about a New York Times story titled: “Losses Mount, Fears Overwhelm, a Life-Ending Decision is Made.” The Times article reported on economically despairing men who, before killing themselves, killed their families. I hope you will go back and read our article on this, b/c sadly, the media have again failed to make it clear that the problem in murder suicide is not going broke, fear or whatchmahaveit, but the idea that men OWN their families. Their families serve at the pleasure of the patriarch. If the patriarch becomes disillusioned with life, he has the right to dispose of his property before ending his life.

The latest murdercide is a man in LA who offed himself after killing his wife and 5 kids. The man who went on his murdering rampage has apparently left a note that blamed his wife for being in on the murderous act. And the media made no attempt to exonerate her name.

From the CNN story:

Lupoe wrote in the fax, "after a horrendous ordeal, my wife felt it better to end our lives; and why leave our children in someone else's hands ... we have no job and 5 children under 8 years with no place to go. So here we are."

Now would it surprise no one that this man, who lied about his job qualifications and said when terminated his boss said to go home and blow his brains out, also lied about his wife’s complicity. Hell no. But check this from the CNN story:

Lupoe, 40, claimed the couple was being investigated for "misrepresentation of our employment to an outside agency for the benefit to ourselves's [sic], childcare." He said the initial interview was held on December 19, and when he reported for work on December 23, "I was told by my administrator ... that 'You should not even have bothered to come to work today. You should have blown your brains out.'"
"Oh lord, my God," the letter concludes. "Is there no hope for a widow's son?"
Kaiser Permanente said in a statement Tuesday night that while the company is "saddened by the despair in Mr. Lupoe's letter faxed to the media ... we are confident that no one told him to take his own life or the lives of his family."

Hmmm..CNN took the time to verify from Kaiser their innocence in this heinous act. But, the implication that the wife wanted to die (and didn’t really object to hubby’s offing of their 5 kids) is left hanging out in the wind! Can no one give this women a RIP? Can anyone try! Bad enough for a man to feel he owns you, lock, key and heartbeat… but to defame you in death. Yak! And CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE REAL PROBLEM HERE: THAT MEN FEEL THEY ARE ENTITLED… WHEN A BIT DOWN in the mouth…. TO KILL ALL THAT “BELONGS” TO THEM.
Again, FemiSex urges the media to give honest Headers to these stories: how about a title that does not drum up sympathy for a cold-blooded killer. After all, anyone who shoots a cop or robs a bank was probably a little be down as well, but…you won’t see a sympathy title over those headlines, will you?
For the Times story we suggested:
Losses Mount, Fears Overwhelm, and Men who are Struggling Decide to Murder their Wives and Children, even a Mother-in-Law Before Killing Themselves.
For the CNN story originally titled: “With no job and 5 kids, ‘better to end our lives,’ man wrote.”, FemiSex suggests: Homicidal, Depressed Man Murders Whole Family, Cravenly Implicating His Wife
This public shaming of men would most likely deter others from murder; instead the Times and CNN give the men the sympathy they so pathologically desire!

Man shoots wife and two kids, then self. Why? because men fell they own their women and children.
Maybe if the press had not painted the LA guy as a victim then, this guy would have have thought twice.
