Disposable women, the Great Struggle of the Planet; a play not written by Harold PinterSaturday, January 10, 2009 at 2:54 pm — admin
Harold Pinter died this past week. His Obit in the Times was adequate, but somewhat funny. Pinter had a 1st wife who bore him a son. Evidently she fell off the face of the earth b/c without mentioning her demise or divorce, the Times reported that Pinter carried on with a married woman and then married her. How very convenient of his 1st wife to disappear into thin air after supporting his early career and enduring poverty with him. How telling that the Times made no mention of what happened to the 1st wife. Disposable women. Two items today: Jeers to Ann Hathaway and also the Times editors for denigrating black female teenagers.Friday, January 9, 2009 at 2:00 pm — admin
First up a Jeer Quote by Ann Hathaway. Last night on David Letterman, Hathaway gushed this: She then gushed that the best job she could imagine would be to babysit for the Mr. Obama. Long Autumn Journey into Misogyny at the New Yorker--Fall 08Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 3:01 pm — admin
One of my, uggghmm, "favorite" New Yorker moments this year was when David Remnick wrote his Thank-God-Obama-Won-the-Primary item in Talk of the Town in the Sept. 8th issue. If orgasms were words they would sound as full of jubilation as Remnick does in "Conventional Wisdom.”. Remnick stokes and pleasures Obama with his words of praise to the ONE. Then Remnick gives women this: Bye bye Judas Iscariot –Hello Rancid BitchesWednesday, January 7, 2009 at 12:29 am — admin
By M. A. Liginter When Bill Richardson dumped his support of Hillary Clinton and wagged his tail for Obama during the primaries, it was clear this man had about as much character as one can hold in a teacup. So it is no great surprise that his curious ways are under review by a federal grand jury in New Mexico. From the L.A. Times NO F’ing WAY! Tim Kaine Picked by Obama to head DNC, Kaine a man who is opposed to abortion, who supports his state's criminal ban on abortion!Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 12:21 am — admin
NO F’ing WAY! Tim Kaine Picked by Obama to head DNC, Kaine a man who is opposed to abortion, whose state has the MOST restrictive abortion laws on the books, Kaine whose stated, YES stated purpose is “Enforcing the current Virginia restrictions on abortions.” Those restrictions include criminal bans on abortion. NOW is the Time to GET ANGRY. As a Gov.of Virginia it is one thing, as the HEAD of the Democratic Party….I DON’T Think SO! Tom Kaine, Obama pushed hard, very HARD for Tom Kaine to head up the DNC. Just as the day ebbs I went over to Puma Pac (a new and excellent habit for me!) and was heaped full of good things. First up a picture from the blog Tennessee Guerilla Woman that Does say it ALL about women along with… Colin Powell and Michael Kinsley feed the fire of Gender WarfareMonday, January 5, 2009 at 2:08 am — admin
When the craven Colin Powell hid behind Sarah Palin’s skirt as a reason he was voting for Obama, it was beyond sad. FemiSex wrote about that then and now, we have another get ur giggle on from Craven Colin. He was recently asked by the Newsweek’s man-luvn’, alpha- women denigrating Fareed Zakaria (Newsweek and CNN) what is wrong with the Republican Party. Sunday fun: Pumasphere and Revolutionary RoadSunday, January 4, 2009 at 3:31 pm — admin
Hi folks-- Looking for some intellectual fun on a Sunday afternoon? I have a couple of great recommendations. To the men money and power; to the women, their share of the house, IF the market is favorableFriday, January 2, 2009 at 7:56 pm — admin
Today I popped in on the Daily Beast and was delighted to find another essay by the superlative Ms. Daphne Merkin. titled, “The Brotherhood of Money” and the enticing subhead: Men like Bernie Madoff understand wealth. They understand power. And they prefer to keep women away from both. Lynching used by The Times in relation to violence against minorities and gays, but women…Nope…Never! That is just, ya know—the Norm.Thursday, January 1, 2009 at 1:07 pm — admin
The New York Times wrote an editorial on December 16th titled: This detailed the horrible beating death of Jose Sucuzhanay brought on because his attackers disliked immigrants and gays. The Times editorial also mentioned the tragic incident of violence against another immigrant, Marcelo Lucero, just weeks prior. He was not lynched either, as the headline states, but was brutally beaten and stabbed. |
